Apple galette, mandarin orange, and vanilla bean aromas evolve into characteristics of wet stone and brine on the nose. On the palate, notes of apple pie and orange are reprised with rich and weighty texture. As this is just the second estate Chardonnay, the vineyard still has many more surprises in store for us. But if this is any indication, the future for this wine is very exciting indeed.

Winemaker Notes
"The nose on this estate Chardonnay is redolent of orange blossom, baked apple, vanilla, and flint-like minerality. On the palate, flavors of warm spice and white flowers stand out. This wine begins with a tart apple skin sensation that resolves quickly into a rich and elegant finish. This exceedingly plush example of Laurelwood District Chardonnay will become more refined with time in the bottle, but after tasting it, I can't imagine it will last that long in your cellar. The energy of this Chardonnay is unrivaled by other wines of the 2020 vintage." - Winemaker Don Crank III
