Pear, Quince, Green Apple, Yuzu
Planted in 1991, the 50-acre Hawks View Vineyard offers the ideal growing conditions for Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The eastern-facing slope and Laurelwood soils, combined with dry farming and hand harvesting, allow for wines of great character and distinction.
"Sweet orange blossom aromas accompanied by Asian pear mix with a slate like minerality as soon as you swirl this exceptionally ripe Pinot gris. The orange and pear continues in the mouth, but with an expansive texture that is tamed eventually with a bright blood orange like acidity. The heady fresh aromas and flavors of this wine created by the warm 2018 harvest are really the highlight here. This stand out wine may also, ideally, stand alone or at least be enjoyed with lighter fare."- Winemaker, Don Crank III
