Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Medium bodied with notes of plum, dried blueberries, leather, white pepper. High acid, medium tannins and a lengthy, silky finish.
Vineyard Notes
Planted in 1991, the 50-acre Hawks View Vineyard offers the ideal growing conditions for Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The eastern-facing slope and Laurelwood soils, combined with dry farming and hand harvesting, allow for wines of great character and distinction.
Winemaker Notes
Looks like 2014 is the vintage of a lifetime in Oregon. The steady growing conditions culminated in a picking season where patience was handsomely rewarded. Each section of the estate was harvested individually with no pressure from Mother Nature. The resulting Pinot Noir exudes great complexity, expressive flavor, and dynamic body all equalized by proper acidity.
